Earlier this year it was expected that people would go back to their offices under a hybrid model. With this in mind we expected offices /work places to be half full compared with pre covid.
As of October 2022, this is not necessarily the case. Many workplaces do have the above-mentioned hybrid model but others don't. Some of our vending clients have not gone back to the office at all and there is no indication to us as and when or even if they will ever go back to the office.
However, this has not affected overall demand for vending services in the workplace. Many businesses are downsizing from full catering solutions and this is where vending solutions are more and more in demand. Workplaces that are open want to retain staff and see vending machines as a nice little perk for staff where previously they may not have.
Where the vending industry will be in 12 months’ time who knows? Irish Vending will still be offering a quality vending service to new and existing customers. Cashless payment systems, healthy options and energy efficient vending machines will be even more important in 2023.
